Drop by the Torpedo Factory for a Bowl of Soup

Visit the Torpedo Factory for SOUPer Saturday this month.

The art center is hosting the event for the 19th year on Jan. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Visitors are invited to purchase a handcrafted bowl made by local potters available at the Torpedo Factory's waterfront entrance. Bowls cost $20 a piece and all proceeds go toward United Community Ministries, which provides assistance programs to low-income individuals, families and neighborhoods.

With the purchase of a bowl, enjoy a bowl of soup courtesy of the Chart House restaurant.

Bowls may be purchased with cash or a check made out to UCM.
