Free Cone Day Offered At Alexandria Ben & Jerry's Location On April 8

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria residents can head to Ben & Jerry's Tuesday to enjoy a free scoop of ice cream.

Ben & Jerry's is hosting its annual Free Cone Day on Tuesday, April 8. Customers can get a free ice cream cone at Ben & Jerry's locations between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. Alexandria has a location at 103 S Union Street near the waterfront in Old Town.

Free Cone Day has been a tradition since 1979 as a way to show appreciation to customers. Last year, Ben & Jerry's gave away more than 1 million scoops of free ice cream for Free Cone Day.

According to Ben & Jerry's, customers can also get back in line for another cone as many times as they'd like on Free Cone Day. Favorite flavors include Phish Food, Mango, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and more. There are also vegan non-dairy options.

Ben & Jerry's started inside a gas station in Burlington, Vermont and has grown to hundreds of locations worldwide as well as widespread distribution in supermarkets, grocery stores and convenience stores. The company is vocal about its activism for progressive causes.
