Sports Bar Suddenly Closes Alexandria Location

A sports bar chain founded in Northern Virginia has closed its Alexandria location.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Glory Days Grill, a locally-founded sports bar and restaurant chain, has suddenly closed its Alexandria location over Memorial Day weekend.

The location at Alexandria Commons, 3141 Duke Street, announced Monday, May 26 was its last day of business. Glory Days Grill said that "the decision to close was not made lightly, circumstances evolve."

"We extend our warmest appreciation to our dedicated team members and our valued patrons," the business said in the closing announcement. "Thank you for being a part of Glory Days Grill in Alexandria, you can visit us at other locations throughout the Virginia area.

The Alexandria location had opened in 2018. Glory Days Grill dates back to 1996, when its first location opened in Burke, Virginia. Today, it has locations in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Florida.
