Grand Opening Tuesday Night for Myron Mixon's Pitmaster Barbeque in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- New barbecue restaurant, Myron Mixon's Pitmaster Barbeque, at 220 N. Lee St., is now open in Old Town Alexandria and is celebrating with a grand opening Tuesday night beginning at 6 p.m. at 220 N. Lee St. (see map below).

The new eatery has already seen 32 reviews on Yelp. The reviewers must like the new restaurant -- it's earned 4.5 out of 5 stars. Here's a sampling of what they're saying:

Jon A. from Arlington wrote: "Came here with my wife on a rainy Friday and left satisfied and smiling. I would have taken photos of what we ate, but being the practical and focused Texan I am, I decided to forgo such silliness and just chow down. BBQ is for eating and that's what I did. This was the right decision. Pulled pork and baked beans were my favorite. Will be getting those again the next time I'm here. Had the brisket and collards as well which were also excellent. Glad to have a solid BBQ joint nearby and looking forward to coming back here again and again."
