Housing Alexandria Donates 250 Thanksgiving Meals to Residents
Affordable Housing Non-profit Gives Back with Annual Food Giveaway
Housing Alexandria, a non-profit providing affordable housing and supportive services donated 250 meals to residents across their affordable housing properties in Alexandria, Va. Its successful, annual Thanksgiving food drive, surpassed last year’s donation by more than 15%. For more information at www.housingalexandria.org.
Each meal provides enough food to feed a family of four, totaling 1,000 servings. Housing Alexandria goes the extra mile by including a gift card to a local Harris Teeter grocery store, ensuring families have the flexibility to purchase any additional cold items they need for a complete Thanksgiving feast.
“We appreciate the support from the Henry Condominium Association and are thrilled to offer this annual tradition to our residents,” said Elisa Mondragon, COO of Housing Alexandria of Alexandria, Va. “This program not only provides a delicious and nutritious meal but also demonstrates our commitment to supporting the well-being of our families during the holidays,” said Mondragon.
Housing Alexandria has seen a steady increase in participation from its residents each year. Additionally, the Henry Condominium Association has partnered with Housing Alexandria, demonstrating a spirit of collaboration within the community. Residents received their meals in reusable Housing Alexandria eco-friendly tote bags.
