Housing Alexandria Welcomes Three New Board Members

Local Affordable Housing Nonprofit Brings Aboard New Expertise

Housing Alexandria, a leading organization dedicated to providing affordable housing opportunities in Alexandria, Virginia, is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Natalie Talis, Meronne Teklu, and Renee Marceau. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and diverse perspectives to the organization in strengthening Housing Alexandria's commitment to its mission.

"We are thrilled to welcome Natalie, Meronne, and Renee to our Board," said Jon Frederick, CEO of Housing Alexandria in Virginia. "Their combined expertise in public health, technology, business strategy, and community engagement will be invaluable as we continue to expand access to safe, stable, and affordable housing in Alexandria," said Frederick.

Natalie Talis serves as the population health manager for the Alexandria Health Department. Her work focuses on addressing home condition issues, fostering community engagement, and utilizing data-driven analysis to solve community health challenges. Talis collaborates directly with residents, City agencies, and nonprofits to tackle critical health issues, bringing a vital understanding of the intersection of housing and well-being to the Board.

Meronne Teklu is the CEO and founder of MULU Corp., a boutique consulting firm in Alexandria, Virginia specializing in innovative digital solutions. She also supports staffing, recruitment, and industry partnerships as a director at ERP Resources, Inc. With a background at Deloitte advising senior leaders on digital transformation programs, Teklu possesses extensive expertise in strategy, technology modernization, and business process optimization. A dedicated community leader, she has served as chair of the City of Alexandria’s Economic Opportunities Commission, as well as on the Board of Governors for Visit Alexandria, and on the Board of Directors for the West End Business Association. Teklu was a “40 under 40” 2022 honoree by the Chamber Alexandria.

Renee Marceau is a corporate growth director at Booz Allen Hamilton, a Fortune 500 technology and consulting firm. She leads market analysis, competitive intelligence, price strategy, and teaming functions, driving business growth through strategic planning and market insights. Prior to Booz Allen, Marceau held positions at FedSources and the City of Harrisonburg. Her expertise in business development and strategic planning will be a valuable asset to Housing Alexandria.
