Late-Night Shopping Offered At 3 Old Town Alexandria Stores
Shoppers have the chance to browse stores up to midnight during a special holiday shopping experience in Old Town Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Shoppers looking for holiday gifts will have the chance to shop an Old Town Alexandria business owner's three stores up to midnight on Thursday.
Red Barn Mercantile, Penny Post, and Pippin Toy Co. will offer Midnight Merriment, a late-night holiday shopping experience from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Friday. The event is intended to provide an alternative to daytime shopping crowds.

"We know the holidays can feel rushed, so we wanted to create an evening that brings the joy back to gift giving," said Amy Rutherford, owner of the three stores. "Whether you come solo to check off your list or make it a date night with a friend or partner, we're here to help you shop with a smile."


Each store will have special offers during the event. The gift-focused store Red Barn Mercantile (1117 King St.) will host a Stocking Stuffer Station designed for big kids and grown-ups. Children's toy and gift shop Pippin Toy Co. (1310 King St.) will have complimentary gift wrapping for all toys and gifts purchased at Pippin Toy Co. that evening. Stationary store Penny Post (1201 King St.) will encourage guests to write Christmas cards, with stamps provided for free. Festive drinks and snacks will be served to help welcome shoppers.
