Healthy Fast Casual Restaurant Seeks To Open Old Town Alexandria Location

A café with menu offerings from smoothies and coffee to grain bowls and sandwiches has set its sights on Old Town Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A fast casual café focused on healthy options is planning an Old Town Alexandria location.

Life Alive Café has applied for a special use permit to open at 400 King Street, Suite 2 in Old Town Alexandria. The application describes the restaurant as a fast casual concept offering organic breakfast, lunch and dinner for takeout and counter service for dine in. The menu includes smoothies, açai bowls, coffees, salads, grain bowls, noodles, soups and sandwiches.

The application calls for 97 indoor seats. Proposed hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

This would be the first Life Alive Café location in Virginia. Life Alive Café has numerous locations in Massachusetts and one in the West End of Washington, D.C.

There is also a Van Leeuwen Ice Cream location seeking to open at the same address in Suite 120.
