  1. A man in Alexandria was arrested after he allegedly threw poisoned meat into his neighbor's yard due to being bothered by their dogs' barking. The neighbor, John Romano, was caught on camera, and the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria later confirmed that the meat contained rat poison. Romano is now facing charges of attempting to harm animals, which is a class one misdemeanor. (WTOP)
  2. The Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria will be re-jurying its artist studios for the first time in its 48-year history. The annual jury and re-jury process aims to sustain the center's vibrancy, with all artist studios re-juried, except for the founding artists.
