Old Town WOW House: The Lord Fairfax House

The Lord Fairfax House is a great example of Federal architecture in Old Town Alexandria.

The Lord Fairfax House has a sprawling lawn, gazebo with gas fireplace and 7,000 square feet to play around in.

It could all be yours for $4.875 million.

The house at 607 Cameron St. has five bedrooms, five baths, one half bath and a garage with an additional two car parking spaces.

The house was built by William Yeaton in 1803, who also designed the tomb for George and Martha Washington at Mount Vernon estate. Thomas Lord Fairfax, a friend of the Washingtons, lived at the location in the 1800s, and the house still is referred to by his name.

The house was part of the Old Town Designer Tour of Homes in December 2010.
