Students from Alexandria Country Day School planted a tree at Taney Avenue Park in support of Mayor's initiative.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Students from Alexandria Country Day School planted a tree Monday afternoon at Taney Avenue Park, located at 4149 Taney Ave., in support of Mayor Allison Silberberg's initiative to increase the tree canopy of Alexandria.
During the Mayor’s visit to the school, back in September, she mentioned the initiative and a need to plant more trees around the city. At that moment, the students committed their time and efforts to supporting and serving their community by planning the tree planting.
