Friday night thunderstorms hit Old Town Alexandria.

Thunderstorms Friday night left more than 1,800 without power and at least one BMW that has seen better days.

Most of the "powerless" had their electricity restored between 10:30 p.m. Friday night through the early morning hours Saturday.

Thanks to reader Dianne Oehms for sending over these photos of a tree down in the Wolfe's Alley parking lot at the corner of the 800 block of Wolfe and the 400 block of S. Columbus streets. The BWM's parking lot neighbor was spared the large limb, see photo.
