Robbery Reported Wednesday Near Metro Station in Alexandria: Police

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a robbery in the 700 block of N. West Street, police said in an alert sent out Wednesday at 6:14 p.m.

The area where the robbery took place is near the Braddock Road Metro station (see map below).

Police say a suspect stole a phone from the victim's hand. There was no injury or weapon. Expect police activity in area.
