Robbins Gioia Announces New CEO Andrew Robinson

The 30-year IT management veteran is expected to lead corporate realignment and transformative growth.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Robbins Gioia Inc. (RG), a program management and IT solutions company, announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Andrew Robinson, currently the company’s chief operating officer, as RG’s new chief executive officer. His focus will be to accelerate the transformation of Robbins Gioia begun in 2012 when the company was purchased by management from its former non-USA parent company.

“Through over three decades in operation, Robbins Gioia has built a reputation as a time-tested champion of client successes ranging from the U.S. Armed Services, many Federal Civilian Agencies, and several State Governments and Larger Commercial Businesses. “Andrew has deep experience and a strong track record of success in RG’s professional practice areas, and he brings a fresh perspective regarding the continued evolution of our market,” said Jim Leto, CEO of RG’s parent company RG Group Inc. “We have every confidence that Andrew brings critical new insights that will help RG’s senior leadership team achieve our ambitious goals for the company,” added Ron Bohlin, Chairman of RG Group.

Mr. Robinson brings to RG more than 25 years of experience in strategic consulting, program management and solutions development. He previously served as ICF International’s senior vice president of Enterprise Management and Resilience, where he managed over 80 programs and projects. Before that, he served as region vice president of Gartner Group where he worked hands-on with top executives of large enterprises to develop business and IT strategies and brings an experienced hand to the position with years in managing projects, streamlining information systems, implementing programs, and achieving mission goals for some of the most critical processes in both private and government sectors.

Mr. Robinson has served on the boards for several industry and non-profit organizations including PMI’s Global Executive Council, American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) Institute for Innovation, and IAC Executive Committee as Chair. He currently serves as a board member on George Washington University’s Research Advisory Board, as well as the GW - Center for Cyber and Homeland Security. A former Federal 100 winner, he regularly speaks at industry conferences and is sought out as a subject-matter expert by media. Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Troy State University in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama School of New College in Business Management, and also currently holds his PMP certification.
