Suspect in Armed Robbery in Alexandria Linked to at Least 6 Other Cases

An Alexandria 7-Eleven was the location of the latest robbery Wednesday morning, but the suspect is wanted in 6 similar cases in Maryland.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The suspect in a Wednesday-morning armed robbery in Alexandria is also sought in at least six other robberies in the past week in Maryland, according to Alexandria City Police. Two men brandished a firearm and stole cash at the 7-Eleven on 504 John Carlyle Street.

A notice Wednesday from Prince George's County police notes that one of those suspects may be responsible for at least six other robberies over the past week. The loot in each case was money and cigarettes.

The businesses includes five 7-Eleven locations and a Dunkin' Donuts. Prince George's authorities noted that there were additional robberies in neighboring jurisdictions during this same time period that are preliminarily linked to the same suspect.

The subject is described as an African American male, approximately 18-24 years old, 5’6” and around 130 pounds. He has worn black Adidas pants and used a black revolver style handgun during the robberies, according to a police statement.

No injuries have been reported in the robberies.

The suspect is believed to be driving a silver, newer-model Chrysler 300.
