A Taste Of Alexandria Cookbook To Be Launched In Fall 2024

A new cookbook featuring recipes from Alexandria restaurants will be released in the fall.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria residents will soon be able to take the flavors of local restaurants to their own kitchens.

"A Taste of Alexandria" will be a cookbook written by best-selling cookbook author Howie Southworth and designed by Jan Derevjanik, both of whom are from Alexandria. Alexandria Living Magazine is spearheading the approximately 200-page cookbook.

The cookbook will have recipes for appetizers, entrées, desserts and cocktails. Participating restaurants include 1799 Prime, Josephine, Captain Gregory's, Cedar Knoll, Chadwick's, Thompson Italian, Vermillion, Hummingbird, Hank's Oyster Bar, King and Rye, Hen Quarter, King's Ransom, Chop Shop Taco and dozens more.

The cookbook is expected to debut in the fall. It can be preordered at alexandrialivingmagazine.com/atasteofalexandria. Copies will also be sold at Made in ALX, the Alexandria Visitor’s Center and other locations in Alexandria this fall.
