ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A water main break is snarling traffic Wednesday on Duke Street in Alexandria. The break appears to be on an 8-inch main near 3638 Duke Street (see map below).

Customers who may experience low pressure or no water until repairs are made (estimated time of 8-10 hours for repairs):

• Duke Street from Cockrell Avenue to Wheeler Avenue
• Normandy Hill Drive (Normandy Hill Apts)
• Goddard Way
• Carriage House Circle
