RESTON, VA, - April 1, 2025 - The Reston Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia is excited to announce it is now accepting applications for its annual scholarships for the academic year 2025 – 2026. South Lakes High School seniors planning to attend Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) or George Mason University (GMU) are encouraged to apply before the application deadlines on April 25, 2025 (for NOVA) and May 1, 2025 (for GMU).
The Reston Scholarship Fund, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting local students, offers financial assistance to help bridge the gap for those pursuing higher education. The scholarships are available to SLHS graduating seniors who plan to attend either NOVA or GMU in the fall of 2025. The scholarships provide up to $16,000 spread over the course of up to six years, as long as the student maintains a minimum 2.00 GPA, continues to demonstrate financial need, and funding remains available.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, the Reston Scholarship Fund will award up to 10 scholarships. The selection process will begin immediately after the application deadlines. Applications for the NOVA and GMU scholarships can be accessed through the following QR codes:
