Can You See the Virginia Governor's Race Through All the Mud?

Barbs between the candidates include charges of "unindicted co-conspirator," "rigid," "flim-flammery," "false and misleading" and sell out.

The 2013 governor’s race is a heated battle with daily punches from the campaigns of Republican candidate Ken Cuccinelli and Democratic contender Terry McAuliffe.

The two are squaring off to win the seat of Gov. Bob McDonnell in Richmond.

The two campaigns regularly duke it out over ethical issues surrounding campaign donations and business dealings as well as different perspectives on constituent issues such as health care law, education, taxes and transportation.

The two also have been hashing it out over party lines. The Cuccinelli campaign announced veteran Democratic strategist Dave “Mudcat” Saunders is supporting Cuccinelli, who is currently the commonwealth’s attorney general. That came a day after it was disclosed that Republican strategist Boyd Marcus would become a paid consultant to McAuliffe, a former Democratic National Committee chairman.

A third quieter voice circulates – that of Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis. Will you vote for him?
