COVID-19 Masks, Face Shields, Other Supplies Needed In Fairfax

Volunteer Fairfax still has an urgent need for homemade cloth masks, face shields, and other supplies to assist its response to COVID-19.

FAIRFAX — On Monday, Fairfax County Department of Health reported 316 new cases of COVID-19, which was the most new cases reported in a single day since February.

Volunteer Fairfax, which has been supporting the community response throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has an urgent need for the following items:

  • Homemade cloth masks: The goal is to collect 65,000 and the greatest need is in children-size masks.
  • Fabric, string, and elastic to support mask making.
  • Other masks: N95, KN95, surgical or 3-D
  • Face shields: Homemade or business-produced
  • Other PPEs: Medical gowns, caps, and booties
  • Nitrile gloves
  • Hand soap and sanitizer
  • Cleaning supplies: Disinfectant spray and wipes, bleach, etc.
  • Diapers
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper Towels
  • Wipes
  • Quart-sized resealable bags (i.e. Ziploc baggies)
  • Baby Formula
  • Non-perishable food - Cans of food that are not expired.

  • Volunteer Fairfax is moving its donation location, so it will not be able to accept donations at its Page Street center in the City of Fairfax.
