Democrat Alcorn Out-Raises GOP Opponent Massey In Hunter Mill BOS Race
Incumbent Walter Alcorn received more than double the donations of the money raised by Indira Massey over the last financial filing period.

RESTON, VA — Democrat Walter Alcorn has far out-raised his opponent, Republican Indira Massey, in his reelection campaign to represent the Hunter Mill District on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
In the latest campaign finance filing on Sept. 15, Alcorn's campaign reported receiving $12,959 between July 1 and Aug. 31, according to the Virginia Public Access Project. In comparison, Massey's campaign raised a total of $6,123 between April 23 and Aug. 31.

- $1,500 - Northern Virginia Association of Realtors
- $500 - Margaret B Gupta
- $500 - Radhika Murari
- $500 - Mary Booth O'Gorman
- $500 - Ronald C Oklewicz
- $500 - Jacqueline Peebles
Alcorn received $9,654 in cash donations of more than $100 and $3,305 in cash donations of $100 or less. He also reported $5,249 in expenses between July 1 and Aug. 31.
After the new donations were added to the $79,492 Alcorn reported having on July 1 and $5,249 in expenses subtracted, his campaign had a balance of $87,202 on Aug. 31.

Massey received $4,549 in cash donations of more than $100 and $1,574 in cash donations of $100 or less. She also reported $2,369 in expenses between April 23 and Aug. 31.
Massey's top five donations for the reporting period were:
- $1,000: Sinan Eraydin
- $500 - Patrick Herrity for Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
- $500 - Irmgard Massey
- $500 - Jenna Massey
- $500 - Teresa D Rutledge
She also received four donations of $250 each from Jean Beatty, Alan Blair, the Greater McLean Republican Women's Club, and Debra Maddrell.
Massey started her campaign in April with $0 in funding. Subtracting the $2,369 in expenses from the $6,123 she raised from April 23 to Aug. 31, her campaign had a balance of $3,752 on Aug. 31.
The first absentee ballots for the General Election were mailed on Friday, Sept. 22, which is also when early voting began. Early voting will continue through Nov. 4, which is three days before Election Day.
