Child Porn Sentence For German Defense HQ Employee In NoVA

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A 49-year-old man, who worked in an information technology position at the German Armed Forces Command in Reston, was sentenced in federal court on Wednesday for downloading files containing child pornography, according to court records.

Peter Markus Kuttke, a German national living in Reston, pleaded guilty on Jan. 8 to using a file-sharing network to download child sexual abuse material, according to court documents.

Investigators linked an IP address associated with Kuttke’s home with files of child sexual abuse material available to download on the Bit-Torrent network, according to court records.

“On Dec. 1, 2023, federal agents executed a search warrant at Kuttke’s home and recovered electronic devices that contained evidence of Kuttke’s offenses, including a device with numerous CSAM videos and images,” according to the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. “Forensic analysis further confirmed that Kuttke had downloaded CSAM from BitTorrent, including videos depicting adults sexually assaulting prepubescent children.”

On Wednesday, Kuttke was sentenced to six years and six months in prison for downloading CSAM videos and images, according to court records.
