Democrats Sweep 11 NoVA House Of Delegates Races: Unofficial Results
Democrats won all 11 contested House of Delegates races in Northern Virginia in Tuesday's election, according to unofficial results.

NORTHERN VIRGINIA — Democrats swept the 11 contested races in Northern Virginia in the House of Delegates, according to unofficial results from the State Board of Elections.
Eleven races for the Virginia House of Delegates were contested in the City of Alexandra, Arlington County, Fairfax City, Fairfax County, the City of Falls Church, and the towns of Clifton, Herndon and Vienna.
Delegates are elected to two-year terms and represent approximately 86,000 Virginians. All 100 seats in the house of delegates were on Tuesday's ballot.

Several incumbents did not running for re-election. The only incumbent delegates seeking another term were Alfonso Lopez, Rip Sullivan, Iren Shin, Karrie Delaney, Dan Helmer, David Bulova, Marcus Simon, Vivian Watts, and Kathy Tran.
Meanwhile, six other Northern Virginia incumbents appeared on Tuesday's ballot, but they were running in uncontested races.. These delegates included Patrick Hope, Mark Sickles, Elizabeth Bennett-Parker, Paul Krizek, Charniele Herring, and Holly Seibold

In addition, Democrat Adele McClure was running unopposed in District 2, representing Arlington County.
Other races on the ballot included members and chairman of the Board of Supervisors in Fairfax and Loudoun and members of the Arlington County Board. In some Northern Virginia precincts, voters also cast ballots for candidates running for school board, the Commonwealth's Attorney, Sheriff, and Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District. The towns of Vienna and Clifton had mayoral and town council candidates on the ballot. Likewise, in the City of Falls Church voters decided who would serve on city council.
