Fatal Stabbing Of Herndon Woman Not A Random Act: Police

Fairfax County police believe that the fatal stabbing of an 80-year-old Herndon woman on Tuesday was not a random act, according to reports.

HERNDON, VA — Fairfax County police detectives believe that the fatal stabbing of a 79-year-old Herndon woman was not a random act, according to authorities.

Around 10 a.m on Tuesday, officers responded to the 2300 block of Dulles Station Boulevard in the McNair neighborhood to investigate the report of a suspicious death.

"The complainant, a caretaker, reported that she arrived at her patient’s residence and found her unresponsive," according to the incident report. "Officers arrived and located Norma Little, 79, of Herndon with stab wounds to the upper body. She was declared deceased at the scene."

Detectives from FCPD's Major Crimes Bureau continue to process evidence gathered at the scene, conduct interviews, and collect video surveillance, according to the report.
