Former Park Authority Employee Named RCC's New Deputy Director

RESTON, VA — c Baglini, a certified park and recreation professional, assumed the role as Reston Community Center deputy director on Feb. 22. She succeeds BeBe Nguyen, who became RRC’s executive director last September.

“I am honored to take on this new role,” Baglini said, in an RCC release. “Through my work in various environments, including community centers, recreation facilities, rental venues and historic sites, I have developed a customer-focused approach. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Reston community.”

Prior to joining the RCC team, Baglini worked for the Fairfax County Park Authority as the operations branch manager in park services. She previously worked for the City of Fairfax’s department of parks and recreation, where she oversaw the organization’s first accreditation by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies.

“RCC is excited to welcome Brianne,” RCC Board Chair Bev Cosham said. “Her extensive knowledge of recreation management and the CAPRA accreditation process comes at a crucial time as we prepare for our reaccreditation in 2025. The Board is confident that she will effectively support the advancement of our strategic plan goals alongside BeBe Nguyen.”

“Ms. Baglini's expertise in CAPRA accreditation, capital project management, community engagement and program development will greatly benefit our team,” Nguyen said. “I look forward to working together to advance RCC’s mission of enriching lives and building community.”

Baglini actively seeks learning opportunities through the National Recreation and Park Association and the Virginia Recreation and Parks Society, including Directors School and Revenue Development, according to an RCC release. She also earned a certified public manager designation through George Mason University.
