VIRGINIA — A nor'easter moving its way up from the south to the northeast is expected to bring rain, including heavy thunderstorms, to the D.C. region over the next couple of days, according to AccuWeather meteorologists.

"Nor’easters can mean heavy snow for the I-95 corridor in winter; but, now that we are well into April, most areas near the coast from southern New England to the mid-Atlantic are in line to see just rain between Monday and Tuesday," said AccuWeather meteorologist Matt Benz.

Temperatures in D.C. are expected to remain in the upper 40s on Monday and Tuesday, which is 20 degrees lower than the average for mid-April, according to AccuWeather.
