RESTON, VA — Girl Scout cookie sales started on Jan. 7, and fans of the sweet treats have just under three weeks left to track down a box of their favorite cookies before they disappear.

Every year, Girl Scouts sell boxes of cookies to support their troops' community service and activities like camping and travel. Through the sales, Girl Scouts also learn skills like money management, goal setting and business ethics.

“Girl Scout Cookie season is about so much more than selling the iconic cookies people know and love,” said Wendy Lou, GSUSA’s chief revenue officer. “The funds girls earn throughout the season directly power girls’ journeys in leadership, entrepreneurship and community building. The sweet success of each sale is a testament to how much girls can change the world when they put their minds to it.”
