House Of Delegates Races On Ballot In NoVA: Candidates, How To Vote
Eleven House of Delegates seats in Northern Virginia are contested in the Nov. 7 election. Only a few incumbents are seeking re-election.

NORTHERN VIRGINIA — Voters from across Northern Virginia will be casting ballots Nov. 7, 2023. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Eleven races for the Virginia House of Delegates are contested in the City of Alexandra, Arlington County, Fairfax City, Fairfax County, the City of Falls Church, and the towns of Clifton, Herndon and Vienna
Delegates are elected to two-year terms and represent about 86,000 Virginians. All 100 seats in the house of delegates will be on the ballot on Tuesday.

Several incumbents are not running for re-election. The only incumbent delegates seeking another term are Alfonso Lopez, Rip Sullivan, Iren Shin, Karrie Delaney, Dan Helmer, David Bulova, Marcus Simon, Vivian Watts, and Kathy Tran.
Meanwhile, many other incumbents are on Tuesday's ballot in Northern Virginia, but they do not have an opponent. These delegates include Patrick Hope, Mark Sickles, Elizabeth Bennett-Parker, Paul Krizek, Charniele Herring, and Holly Seibold

In addition, Democrat Adele McClure is running unopposed in District 2, which is an open representing Arlington County.
Other races on the ballot include members and chairman of the Board of Supervisors in Fairfax and Loudoun and members of the Arlington County Board. Some localities will also have candidates running for school board, the Commonwealth's Attorney, Sheriff, and Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District. The towns of Vienna and Clifton will also have mayoral and Town Council elections. Likewise, Falls Church voters will choose who will serve on the city council.

Voting on Election Day
To vote on Election Day, visit your assigned polling place during polling hours. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day — Tuesday, Nov. 7. An acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person in Virginia.
