Lake Anne Cardboard Boat Regatta A Success, Organizers Say

The Lake Anne Cardboard Boat Regatta returned after a two-year break with thousands in attendance, event organizers said.

RESTON, VA — Reston Museum's Lake Anne Cardboard Boat Regatta returned over the weekend to a huge crowd for the first time in two years following a short break due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"With over 40 boats and thousands of spectators the Lake Anne Cardboard Boat Regatta returned after a two-year break with a successful splash!" event organizers said in a news release.

Winners of the first place categories included Hunters Woods Elementary (cadet category), YMCA (Navigator), Cinder (Skipper), People's choice award went to Mr. Matt and the WildFlowers, and the Titanic Award went to Terraset Elementary.
