Here are the top three stories today in Reston:
- Committees from Virginia's General Assembly continue debating potential updates to the state's two-year budget that was passed last year as Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Republicans push for $1 billion in tax cuts. At the end of the legislative session last week, the committees had yet to reach an agreement, although officials reportedly agreed to prioritize funding for education and mental health initiatives. - Reston-based NVR, Inc. made it onto a list of the top 10 best home-building companies in the U.S. in 2023. In addition to building homes, NVR also specializes in mortgages and services for buyers and borrowers, such as title services. (Inventiva)
