Man Trapped In Baggage System At Dulles Airport Suffers Injuries

A passenger who was trapped in the baggage handling system at Dulles Airport Thursday morning had to be freed by fire and rescue crews.

DULLES, VA — A passenger was injured after they entered the baggage handling system at Washington Dulles International Airport Thursday morning and had to be freed by fire and rescue crews, reports said.

NBC Washington reported a passenger made “an unauthorized entry into the baggage delivery system” and was trapped, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority told the station.

The person was taken to a hospital for treatment. The news outlet had no word on the extent of the injuries.
