Reston Association Board Elects 2 Members
Running unopposed, Matthew Mullenix (At-Large) and Michael Lanza (North Point) received the required quorum in the March RA Board election.

RESTON, VA — At the Reston Association’s annual meeting on Tuesday night, the results of the 2025 board of directors election were announced.
Matthew Mullenix and Michael Lanza were elected to serve three-year terms as the new At-Large Director and North Point Director, respectively.
Although Mullenix and Lanza ran unopposed, board candidates must receive a quorum of at least 10 percent of the eligible voters in order for the election to be official.

In the at-large race, 4,866 (12.03 percent) of 40,463 eligible votes were cast, and 1,336 (14.50 percent) of 9,216 eligible votes were cast in the North Point.
No new candidates submitted applications to run in the Lake Anne/ Tall Oaks District. The Reston covenants allow Irwin Flashman to continue representing that district until the March 2026 board election or he chooses to step down.

Mullenix and Lanza succeeded Trevor Grywatch (At-Large) and Laurie Dodd (North Point), who did not seek re-election in the March election.

The new board is scheduled to meet Wednesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., to elect its new officers for the 2025-2026 term. The meeting will take place at the RA offices at 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive. The meeting may be viewed remotely via Zoom.
