Reston Homeowner Awakens To Sound Of Footsteps: Police
Police say a man entered someone else's home in Reston and took bags from a closet.
RESTON, VA -- A Reston homeowner had a scary incident this week after awakening to the sound of someone's footsteps in the basement.
It happened in the 1500 block of Regatta Lane at around 1:27 a.m. on Jan. 16, police say.
The homeowner investigated and found a door ajar, and then discovered that bags had been removed from a closet and someone had been rummaging around, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
