RESTON, VA — A homeowner in Reston was startled by a noise in his house and shouted at an intruder who was later arrested, police say.

The homeowner heard a noise coming from downstairs at around 12:07 a.m. on July 29 in the 12000 block of Fox View Way and spotted someone in his home from his security cameras, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"The homeowner shouted for the man to leave and he did," the report states.

Police found 23-year-old Andre Irick of Reston nearby and arrested him, charging him with unlawful entry, the report adds.
