A Reston resident reported to police that they woke up to an unknown person standing in their bedroom Wednesday night.

RESTON, VA — A Reston resident reported to police that they woke up to an unknown person standing in their bedroom Wednesday night.

The homeowner in the 2400 block of Masons Ferry Drive told police at 9:30 p.m. they woke up to the sound of their bedroom door opening. The unknown suspect stood at the victim's door and then fled through a bedroom window, police said.

No items were taken, police told Patch. This investigation is ongoing.
