RESTON, VA — A new restaurant slated to open later this month in Reston will feature food from several of the nation's best chefs, including famed Washington, D.C. Chef José Andrés.

On Oct. 30, Wonder will open its largest location at 11690 Plaza America Drive, giving local foodies a chance to sample dishes unique to Reston. At Jota, diners can choose from a collection of iconic Spanish dishes designed by Andrés, Southern-style po boys and seafood staples from Chef JJ Bankside; and Barrio Cafe, which will offer regional Mexican dishes created by Phoenix star Chef Silvana Salcido Esparza.

"Wonder Reston puts Wonder in the heart of the Northern Virginia’s tech hub, where it will serve as an incredibly convenient lunch or take-home option for the thousands of professionals working for Google, Microsoft, Rolls Royce North America and other Reston-based corporations, as well as busy families shopping at Reston Town Center, and the numerous communities nearby," according to a release. "Wonder Reston will open with a celebration on Oct. 30 beginning at 4:30 p.m., with samples from Wonder’s restaurant partners and exclusive giveaways."

The Reston location will be the third restaurant Wonder will have opened in Northern Virginia. In July, Wonder Rosslyn debuted at 1771 North Pierce St. and Wonder Franconia at 7001 F Manchester Blvd. is slated to open its doors on Oct. 23.

The following details were included in Wonder's release announcing the opening of its stores in Franconia and Reston:

A proud partner of Capital Area Food Bank, which provided over 64 million meals to neighbors in need last year, Wonder will donate $1 from every meal sold in the first week of Wonder Franconia and Wonder Reston to CAFB and will give patrons the opportunity to “round up” their change to make a donation to CAFB with every order, year-round.Wonder was founded by entrepreneur Marc Lore in 2021 and today has 70 brick-and-mortar outposts in New York City, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Connecticut and the Washington DC area, with plans to expand to 90 locations by the end of 2025.
Wonder entered the DC market in July with Wonder 14th Street, with ambitious plans to soon serve much of the DMV delicious chef-driven fare, for quick, convenient dine-in, pickup or free delivery. Following the openings of Franconia and Reston, Wonder is planning locations in College Park (7423 Baltimore Ave.), Canton Crossing (3821 Boston St., Baltimore), Navy Yard (111 N St. SE), Cleveland Park (3519 Connecticut Ave. NW) and beyond. Wonder Franconia and Wonder Reston will be open 10:30am-11:30pm daily.
