Senior Movie Day Returns With 'Nyad' Screening At Reston Town Center

RESTON, VA — Senior Movie Day, one of the Reston Association’s most popular annual events, returns for its 30th season with the Jan. 22 screening of the 2023 sports drama, “Nyad.”

“Our community has told us they look forward to Senior Movie Day each year,” said Laura Kowalski, director of recreation for Reston Association. “We are thrilled to celebrate 30 years of Senior Movie Day and hope to welcome audiences for years to come.”

Sponsored by Friends of Reston, Senior Movie Day offers free screenings of popular films for adults ages 55+ on the fourth Wednesday each month. For months with holidays, the screening may be moved to the third Wednesday. The effort is offered in conjunction with LOOK Cinemas in Reston Town Center. No advanced registration is required.

The first three Senior Movie Day offerings in 2025 are:

• Jan. 22: “Nyad”
• Feb. 26: “It Ends with Us”
• March 26: “Here”

Doors are open at 9:15 a.m. for refreshments and socialization, with the screening beginning promptly at 10 a.m. LOOK Cinemas is located in Reston Town Center at 11940 Market St.
