9 Quick Questions with: Vienna Mayor Laurie DiRocco

VIENNA, VA -- Laurie A. DiRocco, a resident of Vienna since 1995, was re-elected as mayor in 2016. She was first elected to Town Council in 2009 and has served as mayor since 2014. She graciously agreed to answer some random questions we sent her way that tell us a little more about herself.

• How long have you lived in Vienna? 20 years
• Occupation: Mayor of Vienna
• Three people (living or dead) I'd invite to dinner: Actually it would be 4 people - my 4 grandparents - I miss them terribly and would love to have a meal with them and one more conversation!
• The most adventurous thing I've ever done is: Zip-lined upside-down over huge canyons and rainforests in Costa Rica.
• My favorite meal is: Homemade while drinking wine with friends or family.
• My pet peeve is: When people spit gum on the ground.
• The last book I read was: The Nightingale
• My favorite movie is: "Forrest Gump," "Chocolat" and "It's Complicated"
• My favorite president is: Abraham Lincoln
