A reported explosion Tuesday morning at a Gibson Drive home set the structure’s attic on fire but caused no injuries to homeowners, neighbors or firefighters that responded to the blaze.
The explosion was reported around 10:05 a.m., said Battalion Chief John S. Price. The homeowners were not in the house at the time of the fire.
The fire was extinguished and crews continued to check the home, particularly the insulation, which typically has a risk of catching on fire after the initial blaze is put out, Price said.
