Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse to Open in Tysons
The popular steakhouse will be housed in a brand new 17-story building at 1775 Tysons Blvd. in Tysons.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse is coming to the ever-bustling Tysons area, the company recently announced.
The DC metro area's first Fogo de Chão is located at 1101 Pennsylvania Ave. NW in DC. The newest restaurant, company-owned, will be located at 1775 Tysons Blvd., a brand new 17-story office tower designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (see a photo gallery of the new building here) across the street from Tysons Galleria and near the Silver Line's Tysons Corner metro stop.

Fogo de Chão opened its first U.S. restaurant in Dallas in 1997, and currently operates 42 company-owned locations across the country and Brazil, as well as one joint venture location in Mexico City. In addition to the newly publicized U.S. openings, Fogo de Chão also has plans for locations in Bellevue, Wash., Plano, Texas and Pittsburgh with dates to be announced.
The restaurant's name means "fire of ground" and has specialized for more than 36 years in fire-roasting meats utilizing a centuries-old Southern Brazilian cooking technique of "churrasco." The eatery uses a service model known as espeto corrido (Portuguese for "continuous service") delivered by gaucho chefs. Fogo offers its guests a tasting menu of a variety of meats including beef, lamb, pork and chicken, a gourmet "Market Table" with seasonal salads, soup and fresh vegetables, seafood, desserts, signature cocktails and an award-winning wine list. The first Fogo de Chão opened in Brazil in 1979. The Company currently operates 32 restaurants in the United States, 10 in Brazil and one joint venture restaurant in Mexico.
