Tysons will be transformed into the scene of the biggest block party of the summer when Slide the City arrives on July 16, according to a Slide the City announcement. The thousand­‐foot slide travels the country all summer giving locals a break from the heat.

Tysons Biergarten Sets Opening Date

It looks like a highly anticipated new beer garden in the area has an opening date. Tysons Biergarten grand opening is set for Saturday, June 4, the company has announced on its Facebook page.

Wife Charged with Murder in Vienna Area

The wife of a July 2015 Vienna area homicide victim has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Fairfax County Police said Tuesday. Kimhoang Pham LaRocque, 35, was charged in the homicide Monday night and was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held without bond, police said.

Midday Attack by Fox: Vienna Cat Under Quarantine

A resident reported that her cat was injured after being attacked by a fox in their yard. The cat was treated by its veterinarian and released to go home. The fox ran off after the attack. Since the health condition of the fox is not known the cat was placed under quarantine for 45 days.
