Preparing Children for Kindergarten

This fall, about 13,000 children in the county will move on to kindergarten, according to Fairfax County Public Schools.

Parents can ask officials how to prepare their children for the step at 10 a.m. Wednesday as part of Ask Fairfax!, an ongoing feature where residents can interact with county officials in a live chat.

Staff will be on hand to answer parents questions on how to prepare for the transition from home, preschool or childcare.
