Summer 'Waterpark' Coming to Town Green in Vienna

VIENNA, VA -- Prepare to get a little crazy, a little loud, and definitely wet. From 1-3 p.m. Sunday, July 31, the Town of Vienna will bring a summer “waterpark” to the Town Green with its annual Big Splash Party.

Kids can enjoy water cannons, sprinklers, various games, ride the slip and slide to their hearts’ desire, and then come back for more as well as jump in the moon bounce. Raffle prizes, snow cones, and music will accompany the H 2 O activity.

Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator Kathy Blevins expressed the buildup of anticipation for the mid-summer explosion by saying: “It’s like you take the energy and fun of a water-themed park and mash it all into the Town’s back yard. It’s like a big, refreshing splash of water in your face after a heat-filled couple of months," she said. "We are excited for the kids to get out and blow off some steam during the dog days of summer.”
