Suspicious Driver Targets Vienna Teens: Police
Police say male driver drove past girls walking in Vienna neighborhood Friday night and stopped to ask them if they wanted a ride.

VIENNA, VA -- Town of Vienna Police say that a middle-aged male driver stopped last Friday night to ask two teen girls if they wanted a ride, after driving past them several times.
The incident took place Friday, Aug. 5 at about 7:26 p.m. in the 100 block of Oak Street SW in Vienna, according to police. The man was driving an older black Acura; police searched the area but weren't able to find the car or the driver, police said.

INCIDENTS
Welfare Check 16-006632 Princess Court, SW August 2 2:48 p.m.: A resident called to request an officer check on the welfare of their husband. Sgt. Elias was able to speak to the husband and verify he was ok.
Animal Case – Quarantine 16-006703: 200 Block Center Street, North August 5 11:01 a.m. The health department contacted ACO Barker about a citizen who was bitten by a dog on July 24, 2016. ACO Barker spoke with the female subject who was bitten on the forearm by a dog she was taking care of. She stated she didn’t receive any significant injuries and that she hasn’t noticed any abnormal behavior by the dog. ACO Barker will follow-up with the owner of the dog when they return from their trip.
Suspicious Event 16-006715 200 Block Manvell Road, SE August 5 7:15 p.m. A resident wanted to discuss a possible violation of a protective order with an officer. The officer met with the resident and determined no violation had taken place.
Suspicious Event 16-006731: 1200 Block Cottage Street, SW August 6 1:34 a.m. Officers responded to a disturbance at the listed address. When they arrived they spoke with two male subjects who showed signs of possible impairment. After speaking with both subjects the officers determined no crime had been committed. Both subjects agreed to remain in the residence and separated from each other.
Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated 16-006736: 500 Block Ware Street, SW August 6 4:30 a.m. A citizen called to report a vehicle was driving erratically and the vehicle had driven up on to a sidewalk and struck a tree. The citizen stated the vehicle then pulled back onto the street and pulled in to a parking lot. PFC Tracy and Ofc. Bulti located the vehicle matching the description given by the citizen parked in a parking lot. As PFC Tracy approached the vehicle he observed front end damage and tree branches in the front bumper of the vehicle. Ofc. Bulti spoke with the driver of the vehicle he detected signs of possible impairment. The driver was offered standard field sobriety tests which they initially agreed to take, but then declined to finish. The 21 year old male driver from Moorefield Road SW, Vienna was arrested for driving while intoxicated and refusal of an official breath test. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Suspicious Event 16-006745: 200 Block Tapawingo Road, SE August 6 11:41 a.m. A resident reported they have been finding their fence door open. They said the fence door is always secured, but over the past few weeks they’ve found the fence door open.
Arrest – Drunk In Public 16-006760: Maple Avenue, East and Park Street, SE August 7 1:46 a.m. PFC Tracy was advised by another officer on a traffic stop of a male subject who was riding his bike and fell over. PFC Tracy spoke with the male subject and as he spoke to him observed signs of possible impairment. The 24 year old male subject from Maple Avenue East, Vienna was arrested for drunk in public. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated 16-006764: 500 Maple Avenue, West August 7 6:55 a.m. MPO Seitz observed a vehicle make a traffic infraction. When he approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver he observed signs of possible impairment. The driver of the vehicle was offered standard field sobriety tests, which they failed. The 27 year old male driver from Braddock Road, Fairfax was arrested for driving while intoxicated and refusal of an official breath test. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Property Found 16-006768 Carter Court, SW August 7 2:56 p.m. A resident found a black wallet in the area of the listed address.
Civil 16-006775: 100 Block Lewis Street, NW August 7 10:47 p.m. Two roommates got in to a verbal argument. When officers arrived they spoke with both roommates and found the argument was a misunderstanding over a bathroom appliance. The roommates agreed to keep the peace and remain in their own rooms for the rest of the night.
Animal Case 16-006782: 500 Block Ridge Road, SW August 8 7:46 a.m. A citizen called stating there were two dogs constantly barking. ACO Barker made contact with the owners of the dogs who stated they were training the dogs not to bark. The owners said they would be more aware of the dogs barking and take them inside their residence when they’re not home.
Animal Case - Quarantine 16-006784: 100 Block Moore Avenue, SW August 8 9:10 a.m. A resident called to report they were bitten by their dog. The female resident stated she did not suffer any significant injury as result of the dog bite. By the time ACO Barker was able to make contact with the resident the 10 day quarantine had passed. The resident advised their dog showed no signs of being sick.
Service 16-006786: Vienna Police Department 215 Center Street, South August 8 9:54 a.m. An elderly male subject came to the station to report some missing golf clubs. It was determined there were no missing golf clubs and that the elderly male subject was having difficulty with remembering things. Officers made sure the elderly male subject made it safely home and went over services with his wife.
Vandalism 16-006788: Tom Yum Thai 226 Maple Avenue, West August 8 12:50 p.m. The business owner called to report a rear window to the business had been broken.
Mental Case 16-006794: Cube Smart 300 Mill Street, NE August 8 3:56 p.m. Officers responded to the listed business at the request of Prince William County Police Department for a male subject experiencing a mental health emergency. When MPO Lyons arrived he spoke with the male subject and determined he was in need of mental health services. MPO Lyons transported the male subject to the Merrifield Center.
Animal Case 16-006797: 1000 Block Cottage Street, SW August 8 4:52 p.m. A resident called to report they found what appeared to be someone’s pet bird. Ofc. Post arrived and took possession of the bird. It was transported to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
Grand Larceny 16-006799: Vienna Woods Tennis and Swim Club 930 Desale Street, SW August 8 6:35 p.m. A resident reported their sons’ bike had been stolen while left unsecured outside of the Vienna Woods Swim and Tennis Club.
Arrest – Telephone Case 16-006819: 100 Block East Street, NE August 9 12:00 p.m. A female subject spoke with Ofc. Post about telephone threats. After being advised of the warrant process, the female subject went to the magistrate office and obtained a warrant. On the listed date the 48 year old female suspect from Glen Road, Potomac, Maryland turned herself in to Ofc. Post and was served the warrant for profane, threatening language over public airway. She was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Fraud 16-006823: Wolftrap Fellowship Church 415 Maple Avenue, West August 9 3:29 p.m. An administrator for the listed church reported a subject fraudulently forged a check.
Domestic Dispute 16-006825: Cottage Street and Locust Street, SW August 9 8:07 p.m. MPO Nelson was patrolling the listed area when he observed a female subject exit a vehicle, approach a male subject on the sidewalk and then begin to verbally assault the male subject. MPO Nelson stopped and spoke with both the female and male subject. They told MPO Nelson they were married and have been having marital issues, but nothing was physical. MPO Nelson provided both subjects counseling services and they left the area without further incident.
Petit Larceny 16-006827: Aldeerah Restaurant 262 Cedar Lane, SE August 9 9:39 p.m. An employee of the listed restaurant called to report a male subject purchased food, ate the food and then left the restaurant without paying the bill.
Arrest – Warrant Service 16-006831: Glyndon Street and Locust Street, SE August 10 1:36 a.m. Sgt. Sheeran observed a vehicle make a traffic infraction. Sgt. Sheeran conducted a records check of the driver of the vehicle and it was determined the driver was wanted out of Fairfax County for a protective order violation. The 41 year old male driver from Patrick Street SE, Vienna was arrested for the outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated 16-006861: Maple Avenue, East and Mill Street, NE August 10 10:48 p.m. While responding to a call for service Ofc. Herrera observed a traffic accident in the listed intersection. After running a records check on the driver of the vehicle that was struck it was determined the driver was driving on a revoked driving status – DWI related. Ofc. Herrera placed that subject under arrest. Ofc. Bulti arrived on scene to assist Ofc. Herrera and began to speak with driver of the striking vehicle. While doing so Ofc. Bulti observed signs of possible impairment with the driver. The driver was offered standard field sobriety tests, which they failed. The driver was transported to the Vienna Police Department for an official breath test. The 69 year old male driver from Lakewood Drive SW, Vienna was arrested for driving on a revoked driving status – DWI related by Ofc. Herrera. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. The 21 year old female driver from Greensboro Drive, Mclean was arrested for driving while intoxicated by Ofc. Bulti. She was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Suspicious Event 16-006872: 400 Block Druid Hill Road, NE August 11 12:17 p.m. A resident called to report there were construction workers staring at them in their residence. Ofc. Slebonick met with the female resident and she stated construction workers at the adjacent property from her residence would stare at her when she was in her residence. Ofc. Slebonick met with the construction workers and advised them to stop staring at the female resident, they agreed.
Animal Case 16-006874: 300 Block Center Street, South August 11 1:54 p.m. ACO Barker responded to the listed area for a sick fox. He located the fox and determined it was indeed sick. The fox was euthanized.
Indecent Exposure 16-006883: Elm Street, SW and Center Street, South August 11 4:08 a.m. Two teenage girls were walking in the listed area when a vehicle passed by them. The vehicle then quickly pulled in a parking spot. As the teenage girls passed the vehicle, the driver lowered the passenger side window and exposed himself. The teenage girls quickly left the area and reported the incident to Vienna Police Department. Several units searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle or person. The vehicle was described as newer model, white in color, Audi, 2-door.
