Vienna Paint and Decorating to Donate $6,000 to Town for Community Project

Donation to emphasize idea that 'Main Street and hometowns matter.'

Thanks to paint purchases by customers, Vienna Paint and Decorating, the 2013 Vienna Oktoberfest platinum sponsor and the largest Benjamin Moore paint dealership in Virginia, is able to donate more than $6,000 to the town for a community project.

Owner Carole Wolfand is a board member of the Virginia Business Association, which puts together Oktoberfest every year. Wolfand is also the event’s volunteer coordinator and chairperson of VBA events.

Wolfand said that with every gallon of certain paints, Vienna Paint and Decorating is donating $1 to a project in Vienna that can be enjoyed by the entire town. To date, the store has raised more than $6,000.

“We want them to know that Main Street and hometowns matter,” Wolfand said.

Wolfand, who has lived in Vienna since 1985 and opened her first store in 1986, said her favorite thing about Vienna is that “it’s just a wonderful, community-oriented place to live. … It has all of the amenities of a small community, but you still have access to all of D.C. and everything around you.”
