Vienna Star Athlete Is Role Model On Track And In Classroom

VIENNA, VA — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Have known Haley since she was born in our wonderful close-knit neighborhood in Vienna

What sport does the star student athlete play?

Track and cross country

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Haley has been a joy to have in the neighborhood. She’s our baby sitter and dog walker but more importantly she’s always got a smile on her face and a kind word.
She’s a role model at school where she is completing the full IB Diploma program, completed the full Academy program, is certified as a CNA, and participates in the math and science honor societies. Haley also excelled in both cross country and track and has competed at States all 4 years of high school. Haley is currently captain of the team. Dispute all of her incredible accomplishments, Haley remains one of the humblest, delightful young women I know.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

A wonderful kid who is inclusive and nice to everyone. Very low ego for such a gifted athlete
