1 Killed In Alexandria Shooting Classified As Homicide

Alexandria Police continue to investigate a homicide after responding Friday night to a shooting report.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police are investigating a shooting being classified as a homicide in the West End Friday.

Around 11:35 p.m. Friday, police responded to a shooting report in the 200 block of South Reynolds Street. Police found a man with upper body trauma and provided aid until rescue personnel arrived. The man was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The man has not been publicly identified. The medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to identify the victim and confirm the cause and manner of death.
