2 Killed In Alexandria Shooting; 1 In Custody: Police

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Two people were shot and killed Saturday in Alexandria, according to police.
Authorities received a report about 7:30 a.m. of a residential burglary in the 100 block of Century Drive that was followed by a second call about a shooting in the same area, police said.
“APD has a person of interest in custody and believes that there is no further threat to the public related to this incident,” police said.

One of the victims died on scene while another was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, according to police.
