17-Year-Old Dies In West End Alexandria Shooting, Arlington Teen Faces Charge

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A 17-year-old boy died in a West End Alexandria shooting Friday, according to Alexandria Police.

Police had responded to a call about gunshots around 11:29 p.m. Friday in the 4600 block of Kenmore Avenue. Officers found the 17-year-old victim, a non-city resident, with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

Alexandria Police arrested a 17-year-old Arlington County resident and charged him with possession of a firearm by a person under 18. No murder charges were announced by police.
