Alexandria Sexual Battery Incident Results In Arrest: Police

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police made a quick arrest after a female victim reported a sexual battery incident on Thursday.

Police had responded to a disorderly person report around 5:35 p.m. in the 200 block of S. Reynolds Street. Investigations revealed the suspect committed sexual battery on the female victim and was following other women in the area, according to police.

Police used a suspect description to locate the man not far from S. Reynolds Street, and the victim positively identified him as the suspect. Police believe he was intoxicated at the time of the arrest.

Tonio Richardson, 30, of Alexandria, was charged with sexual battery, simple assault, and public intoxication.
